Unreleased Aaron Lewis album pages used as packing material in Taylor Swift merch

Fans who opened Taylor Swift's new I Knew It, I Knew You CD collection noticed shredded paper printed with unfamiliar song lyrics inside the packaging. Some initially wondered if the paper was a hidden clue, but it turned out to be pages from Aaron Lewis' unreleased album, Give Me Back My Country, due out July 17.

Lewis, the Staind frontman, said he learned about the discovery through his social media team after fans posted videos online. He told USA Today he was surprised that material from an album that has not yet been released was being used as packaging.

The album is being released by Big Machine Label Group, Swift's former record label. Lewis said he does not blame Swift for the mix-up and believes she had no involvement. He noted that the two artists work in very different worlds and said he has no hard feelings toward her.
