Ariana Grande sues alleged hackers over leaked unreleased music

Ariana Grande has filed a lawsuit against two unidentified individuals she alleges hacked the private accounts of her collaborators and stole unreleased material.

According to a complaint filed on 27 July, the hackers allegedly accessed the digital accounts of photographers and producers who have worked with the singer, obtaining unreleased songs, photos, and audio and video recordings from her creative process.

The lawsuit claims the stolen content was later sold on the dark web for significant sums of money. Grande alleges that 45 unreleased songs were leaked in 2023 alone, adding that hundreds of similar leaks have occurred since her music career began in 2011.

The legal action seeks to identify the alleged hackers and prevent similar incidents in the future. A source close to Grande said the case is intended to protect artists' right to control when and how their work is released.

Grande previously addressed music leaks during a 2024 interview on The Zach Sang Show, where she criticised those responsible for leaking her unreleased song Fantasize, saying they would be "held accountable."
