Avril Lavigne’s ‘Sk8r Boi’ Was a Surprise Highlight of Swift and Kelce’s Wedding, Says McAfee

Pat McAfee says Avril Lavigne performed her hit song “Sk8r Boi” at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.

Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, McAfee said the wedding featured surprise performances from several famous musicians. He also said Paul McCartney performed “I Want to Hold Your Hand” for the first time in decades, while Stevie Nicks joined Swift on stage.

The day after his comments, McAfee acknowledged that he had been the first to reveal Lavigne’s performance. He said the musicians took turns calling each other to the stage for informal performances throughout the night.

ABC News hosts George Stephanopoulos, Robin Roberts, and Michael Strahan, who also attended, confirmed that McCartney and Nicks performed. Stephanopoulos described the event as intimate despite being held at Madison Square Garden, which featured a large indoor garden for the celebration.

Other reported performers included Camila Cabello, Sombr, Haim, Ellie Goulding, Benson Boone, Ashanti, and The Chicks.
