Ben Affleck Wins $32,000 on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire After McDonald’s Question

Ben Affleck advanced on the celebrity edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire after correctly answering a McDonald’s trivia question, earning $32,000 for the Eastern Congo Initiative.

Host Jimmy Kimmel introduced Affleck with a joke about his longtime friend Matt Damon, calling him “Matt Damon’s much better half.”

During the game, Affleck was asked which McDonald’s sandwich comes with half a slice of cheese. After using the audience lifeline, he chose the Filet-O-Fish, which was the correct answer. Affleck admitted he eats McDonald’s “a lot. All the time.”

Later, Affleck correctly answered a question about Spain’s El Colacho festival, where people dressed as devils jump over babies. He said he knew the answer because he had looked up Spanish festival traditions after watching Damon compete on the show.

Jokingly thanking Damon for helping him prepare, Affleck said his friend’s earlier appearance had inspired his research. Kimmel responded with another playful jab, saying they would “edit that out of the program.”

Damon appeared on the show in July 2025 alongside Jeopardy! champion Ken Jennings. The pair won the $1 million top prize for Water.org, Damon’s nonprofit focused on expanding access to clean water and sanitation.
