Speaking to the Associated Press, Paisley said guests received highly confidential invitations with only limited details at first. The invite emphasized its exclusivity, telling recipients they "mean a lot" to the couple, with the exact location revealed only after guests confirmed their attendance.
Paisley and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, accepted immediately. Despite being held at New York City’s Madison Square Garden before around 1,000 guests, he called the wedding "one of the least pretentious weddings" he had ever experienced and said it was meaningful to be included.
Paisley has known Swift since the early days of her career, when he invited the then-17-year-old singer to open his 2007 Bonfires & Amplifiers tour. The friendship has continued over the years, with Swift and Kelce recently supporting Paisley’s nonprofit, The Store, through a generous donation to help families facing food insecurity.
The ceremony drew an extensive guest list spanning music, film and sports, including Maren Morris, Miranda Lambert, Jennifer Lopez, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Ed Sheeran and Jason Sudeikis. Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, while Austin Swift served as man of honor and Jason Kelce was best man.
