The 18-year-old is seeking to change her legal name from Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie, citing “personal” reasons. A hearing on the request is scheduled for Nov. 2.
Vivienne has already been using the Jolie surname publicly, appearing as “Vivienne Jolie” in the Playbill for the Broadway production of The Outsiders, which she helped produce alongside her mother in 2024.
She is the latest of the former couple’s six children to distance herself from the Pitt surname. Shiloh legally changed her name to Shiloh Jolie in 2024, while Zahara and Maddox have also filed petitions to adopt the Jolie surname, with their requests still pending.
The name changes come amid the long-running fallout from Pitt and Jolie’s highly publicized split in 2016. Although their divorce was finalized in late 2024, the former couple continues to battle in court over Château Miraval, the French winery they once jointly owned.
