Chloë Sevigny Reflects on Fame as The Five Star Weekend Debuts

Chloë Sevigny says her relationship with fame has changed over the years. Speaking to PEOPLE, the 51-year-old actress said that while she always wanted to be an artist and actor, she never wanted to be famous, which led her to put up "a shell" in public during her early career.

Sevigny said her personality is often misunderstood, adding that people who know her see a "dorky and goofy" side beneath her reserved image. She also noted that her The Five Star Weekend character, Tatum, shares a similar tough exterior before undergoing personal growth over the course of the series.

Costar Jennifer Garner praised Sevigny as emotionally open and fully present with others, despite initially feeling intimidated by her reputation for being "urban cool."

The Five Star Weekend, based on Elin Hilderbrand's 2023 novel, is now streaming on Peacock.
