Speaking with cohosts Sean Hayes and Will Arnett alongside guest Timothy Olyphant, Bateman said he was arrested for being "drunk and disorderly" after leaving a casino in a leopard-print outfit, fueled by "cheap champagne and a pocket full of chips."
The actor, now 57, said the incident happened years before he embraced sobriety. Bateman has previously shared that he stopped drinking and using drugs in his early 30s, crediting both his career ambitions and wife Amanda Anka for motivating the change.
In recent interviews with The Hollywood Reporter and on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Bateman reflected on leaving his partying lifestyle behind more than 25 years ago, saying he realized he wanted to build a lasting career and become the kind of husband and father he envisioned.
Today, Bateman and Anka share two daughters, Francesca and Maple, and the Ozark and Arrested Development star has often described family life as his greatest source of fulfillment.
