Justin Baldoni Receives Support From Former Jane the Virgin Co-Stars After Blake Lively Settlement

Justin Baldoni has received public support from former Jane the Virgin co-stars Gina Rodriguez and Brett Dier after speaking for the first time about his legal settlement with It Ends With Us star Blake Lively.

In an Instagram video posted with his wife, Emily Baldoni, the couple thanked supporters and described the past two years as painful, saying they had experienced "injustice" and trauma. They said they had stayed silent until now because it "didn't feel like the right time."

The legal dispute began in late 2024 when Lively sued Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment during the filming of It Ends With Us. In April, a judge dismissed most of Lively's claims, including sexual harassment, defamation, and conspiracy. Before trial, both sides reached a settlement.

Baldoni said Lively settled her main lawsuit for no monetary payment. However, the court ruled that Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios must pay Lively's legal fees related to defending against Baldoni's dismissed defamation countersuit, with the final amount still to be decided.

Lively's representatives called the settlement "a resounding victory," while a joint statement from both sides said they hope the agreement brings closure and supports respectful, safe workplaces.
