Millie Bobby Brown Says Motherhood Has Changed Her Career

Millie Bobby Brown says becoming a mother has changed how she thinks about her acting career.

The 22-year-old actress, who welcomed a daughter through adoption with her husband Jake Bongiovi in the summer of 2025, said she now wants to play roles that inspire young girls, including her own child.

Speaking to Access Hollywood while promoting Enola Holmes 3, Brown said, “Everything is about her now.” She added that while she does not expect her daughter to follow in her footsteps, she hopes the strong female characters she plays will encourage future actresses and filmmakers.

In Enola Holmes 3, Brown returns as the young detective Enola Holmes. The story follows Enola as she travels to Malta after Sherlock Holmes is kidnapped, interrupting her plans to marry Lord Tewkesbury.

Brown also said Disney's Hannah Montana was one of her childhood heroes because of its “best of both worlds” storyline, adding that she now feels her own life is similar in some ways.

Brown and Bongiovi married in May 2024 after first being linked in 2021. They announced the adoption of their daughter in August 2025, saying they were excited to begin “this beautiful next chapter of parenthood” while keeping their family life private.
