Morgan Fairchild Recalls Working With Matthew Perry and Robin Williams

Morgan Fairchild shared memories of working with the late Matthew Perry and Robin Williams during an interview at Project Angel Food’s Lead with Love event in Hollywood.

Fairchild, who played Chandler Bing’s mother, Nora Bing, on Friends, said Perry reminded her they had actually met years earlier when he visited the sets of Flamingo Road and Falcon Crest with his father, actor John Bennett Perry. She recalled Perry’s energy and kindness, saying he brought joy to everyone around him.

She also praised Perry for speaking openly about his struggles with addiction and said she was proud of his efforts to help others. Perry died in October 2023 from the acute effects of ketamine. He had previously discussed his recovery journey publicly.

Fairchild also reflected on working with Robin Williams on Mork & Mindy. She said Williams often improvised during filming and welcomed her into his spontaneous performances. She described him as brilliant, generous, and deeply kind, adding that she was proud to see him become a major Hollywood star.

Williams died in 2014 at age 63. Fairchild said she was shocked by his death and did not know he had been living with Lewy body disease, which was confirmed after his passing.
