Seth Rogen Says He Kept Thanking Penélope Cruz During Movie Love Scene

Seth Rogen shared a funny behind-the-scenes story about filming a romantic scene with Penélope Cruz in the upcoming movie The Invite. Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Rogen said he kept saying, "Thank you," while improvising the scene, leaving director Olivia Wilde confused.

Rogen explained that his reaction felt natural because he would be both grateful and apologetic in real life. He also joked that he was nervous because Cruz is married to actor Javier Bardem, adding that Bardem likely does not see him as a threat.

The actor revealed that several scenes were improvised. Cruz suggested singing Sade during one romantic moment, while Rogen added a gag where he struggled to remove his pants and fell. Although the scene worked, he joked that he injured his shoulder for seven months.

Wilde also recalled an improvised moment in which Cruz unexpectedly kissed her during filming, leaving her so surprised that she accidentally said, "Namaste!" instead of calling "Cut."
