Shania Twain Missed Taylor Swift's Wedding Because of Harry Styles Tour

Country music star Shania Twain said she was invited to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, but she could not attend because she had already promised to perform at Harry Styles' concerts.

In an interview with the Canadian entertainment show etalk, Twain explained that she was opening for Harry Styles during his 12-show stadium tour at Wembley Stadium in London.

"I was already committed and I couldn't go," she said. "It's funny that it happened that way."

Harry Styles and Taylor Swift dated for a short time between 2012 and 2013. Because of that, the interviewer joked that Twain chose Harry over Taylor.

Twain laughed and said that was not the case. She said she really wanted to attend the wedding.

"I would have done anything to be at Taylor's wedding," she said. "It would have been really lovely for me to be there, but I was with Harry."

She also joked that if Harry Styles ever gets married and wants her to sing at his wedding, he should invite her much earlier so she can keep the date free.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding took place on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Around 1,000 guests attended the event, including celebrities such as Ed Sheeran, Lena Dunham, Jason Kelce, the Haim sisters, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, and Karlie Kloss.

Shania Twain and Taylor Swift have shared a close friendship for many years. They performed together at the 2019 American Music Awards. Twain has also praised Swift for her hard work and dedication to music.

Back in 2008, Taylor Swift wrote on her blog that meeting Shania Twain was one of the biggest moments of her career. She called Twain the artist who inspired her to become a country singer.

Harry Styles' fiancée, actress Zoë Kravitz, attended the wedding by herself because Styles was busy with his concert tour. During his show that night, Styles surprised fans by performing "Two Ghosts," a song that many believe is about his past relationship with Swift.

Although Shania Twain missed the celebration, she said she was honored to receive the invitation and wished she could have been there.
