Timothée Chalamet Praises Anya Taylor-Joy’s Performance in Dune: Part Three

Timothée Chalamet has praised Anya Taylor-Joy’s performance in Dune: Part Three, calling her "terrifying and amazing" during a Global IMAX Fan Event in Los Angeles on July 8.

Taylor-Joy, who made a brief cameo as Alia Atreides in Dune: Part Two, has a much larger role in the upcoming film. Chalamet said her first day on set was "visually breathtaking," crediting director Denis Villeneuve and cinematographer Linus Sandgren.

Chalamet also praised Robert Pattinson, who joins the cast as Scytale, describing him as "fantastic."

The actor said the film, based on Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah, continues Paul Atreides’ journey as emperor while exploring the dangers of charismatic leaders. Villeneuve jokingly referred to the story’s famous spice as "spice pudding," prompting laughter from Chalamet.

Dune: Part Three is scheduled to open in theaters on December 18.
