In an interview with Screen Rant, Arjona said she has been training two to three hours a day while following a strict diet. “I have muscles that I’ve never had in my life,” she said, adding that coffee has been helping her stay awake.
Arjona’s role in the James Gunn-directed film has not yet been revealed. She will reunite with Gunn and producer Peter Safran, who gave her an early film role in 2016’s “The Belko Experiment.”
“I’m really excited to be reunited with the family that started everything for me,” Arjona said, while keeping details about her character secret.
“Man of Tomorrow” will bring back David Corenswet as Superman and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. The cast also includes Rachel Brosnahan, Lars Eidinger as Brainiac, Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, and Xolo Maridueña as Blue Beetle.
Gunn recently confirmed that filming has wrapped. “Man of Tomorrow” is scheduled to hit theaters on July 9, 2027.
