Alessandra Ambrosio Engaged to Buck Palmer, Shows Off $500,000 Diamond Ring

Alessandra Ambrosio and jewelry designer Buck Palmer are engaged after two years together. Palmer proposed during a vacation in Indonesia, where he created a large heart from red flowers on the beach.

Ambrosio, 45, announced the engagement on Instagram, writing, “I’d choose you in this life and every life. Here’s to forever, my love.” She also shared photos of her engagement ring, featuring a large solitaire diamond in a yellow-gold bezel setting.

Gemologists told Page Six Style that the elongated cushion-cut diamond appears to be approximately 5 to 7 carats and could be worth between $200,000 and $500,000. Another estimate placed the stone at up to 8 carats.

Experts noted that bezel settings are increasingly popular in bridal jewelry because of their modern appearance and added protection for the stone. Ambrosio joins celebrities including Zoë Kravitz, Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa in wearing a bezel-set engagement ring.

It remains unclear whether Palmer, who works as a jewelry designer, helped create Ambrosio’s ring.
