A Cherokee County grand jury returned the indictment on Aug. 10, according to court records obtained by PEOPLE. Landsman faces two counts of aggravated assault, one count of false imprisonment and a battery charge.
According to the indictment, Landsman is accused of applying pressure to Chrisley’s throat and neck during an April 10 incident. He is also accused of forcibly throwing her to the ground, causing a head injury.
The indictment says Chrisley suffered substantial physical harm, including lacerations, bruising and bleeding from her head.
Chrisley’s representative told PEOPLE that she did not contact law enforcement about the incident and is now focused on herself and her family.
“Out of respect for the ongoing legal process, she will not be commenting further on the circumstances at this time,” the representative said. “We respectfully ask that her privacy be honored and that she and her family be given the space and compassion to navigate this privately.”
Landsman was previously arrested in April on charges including misdemeanor battery and felony aggravated assault involving strangulation. He was booked into the Cherokee County Jail, according to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by PEOPLE.
The affidavit alleges that Landsman placed his right hand around the victim’s neck, applied pressure and said the person was “not going anywhere.” It also alleges that he pushed the person out of a home in Woodstock, causing the person to fall backward and hit their head on concrete.
According to the affidavit, the victim was bleeding from a head laceration caused by the fall.
Landsman and Chrisley were publicly linked in 2025. In July of that year, Chrisley changed her last name on social media to Landsman, although the couple were not married.
At the time, Chrisley explained on her podcast, The Southern Tea, that the name change was a personal decision.
“We are not married,” she said. “We have built a safe and loving relationship that allows for stability in my life and in Jackson’s life.”
Chrisley later removed the Landsman name from her social media accounts.
The legal developments come as Chrisley faces a separate case of her own. She was arrested on May 23 on suspicion of DUI, attempting to elude police, improper passing, reckless driving and speeding.
Chrisley told TMZ that she was pulled over after speeding past another vehicle on a two-lane road. She said the other vehicle had nearly hit an animal and that she was trying to avoid hitting it herself. She said she intended to fight the charges.
The allegations against Landsman remain allegations unless and until proven in court.
