Dylan Walsh Pauses Cameo After Accidentally Spoiling ‘Heated Rivalry’ Season 2

Dylan Walsh has paused his Cameo account after accidentally revealing a detail about the upcoming second season of Heated Rivalry.

The 62-year-old actor, who plays David Hollander in the hit hockey romance, said in a recent fan video that he was preparing to return to Canada to film more episodes. He added, “I think we’re doing 12 this time.”

The comment quickly went viral because the first season had only six episodes. Series creator Jacob Tierney has previously said he prefers to keep each season to six episodes, leading fans to speculate that seasons 2 and 3 could be filmed together or that the second season could be split into two parts.

Walsh’s Cameo profile now says he is unavailable for personalized videos until August 2027. A message on the account explains that he is “stepping away because a video went viral that got me in trouble.”

The timing is particularly fitting for fans of the books. Season 2 will primarily adapt Rachel Reid’s The Long Game, which includes a storyline involving a private video spreading through a Cameo-like service.

The new season will continue the story of hockey players Shane Hollander, played by Hudson Williams, and Ilya Rozanov, played by Connor Storrie. Charlie Gillespie and Justice Smith are also joining the cast as Troy Barrett and Harris Drover.

Heated Rivalry season 2 is expected to premiere in spring 2027. Season 1 is streaming on HBO Max.
