Kim Zolciak Breaks Silence After 15-Year-Old Son KJ Biermann’s Arrest on Sexual Assault Charges

Kim Zolciak is speaking out after her 15-year-old son, Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr., was arrested in Georgia on serious sexual assault charges.

In a statement to Us Weekly on Friday, August 21, Zolciak strongly denied the allegations against her son. She said KJ “categorically denies” having any involvement with the woman who made the allegations or engaging in the conduct described.

Zolciak also said her son voluntarily took a polygraph test and passed it. She added that an examination found no DNA belonging to KJ.

“The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling,” Zolciak said. She stressed that sexual assault allegations should be taken seriously, but argued that people should not be publicly judged based only on accusations before the facts are established.

According to a police report obtained by Us Weekly, the alleged incident occurred on April 23 in Alpharetta, Georgia. The alleged victim, a minor girl whose identity has not been made public, reported aggravated sexual battery and aggravated sodomy and was taken to a hospital for an examination.

The report states that testing found no male DNA in the girl’s mouth or vagina.

Court records show that KJ was arrested in Alpharetta on August 17. A judge did not set bond, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 8. He is currently being held at the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center.

KJ is the eldest son of Zolciak and former NFL player Kroy Biermann. The couple married in 2011 and went on to have three more children: Kash, Kaia and Kane. Biermann also adopted Zolciak’s two older daughters, Ariana and Brielle.

Before the arrest, Zolciak publicly celebrated KJ’s 15th birthday on Instagram. She praised his work ethic and dedication, particularly his commitment to football, and described him as one of her greatest blessings.

The case remains ongoing, and the allegations have not been proven in court. A preliminary hearing is expected to provide the next significant step in the legal proceedings.
