Leslie Mann Reveals Adam Demos Made Her Nervous on ‘Spa Weekend’ Set

Leslie Mann has revealed that Adam Demos made her unusually nervous when they first met on the set of Spa Weekend.

Mann, who stars in the film alongside Isla Fisher and Anna Faris, said she already knew Demos from his role in Netflix’s steamy series Sex/Life. She had watched the show while quarantining alone during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“When I was told I was going to meet Adam, I was like, ‘Oh, okay, that’s good,’” Mann said during an interview on SiriusXM’s Smith Sisters Live. She recalled trying to act calm when Demos arrived, but said she was “really sweating” and struggled to maintain eye contact.

Demos said he had not noticed Mann’s nerves because he was also anxious about joining a film led by the established actress.

The two will play characters who develop a romance at a luxury spa retreat. Spa Weekend, which also features Michelle Buteau, is scheduled to open in theaters on Aug. 21.

Demos recently ended his five-year relationship with Sex/Life co-star Sarah Shahi. Shahi has previously said that the public attention surrounding their relationship made their breakup more difficult.
