In an Instagram post on August 1, Savannah said her family has been living in "agony and despair" since Nancy, 84, was taken from her bed during the night. She urged anyone with information to contact authorities, saying someone may recognize the handwriting in recently released ransom notes or have noticed suspicious behavior.
Her appeal came a day after the Pima County Sheriff's Department released the full text of two ransom notes that were sent to several news outlets in early February. Savannah asked anyone with knowledge of the case to come forward, noting that tips can be provided anonymously and that reward money is available.
The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff's Department have been investigating Nancy's disappearance since February. Authorities say surveillance footage showed an armed, masked man outside her home on February 1, the day they believe she was abducted.
Nancy's whereabouts remain unknown. A $100,000 reward is being offered by investigators for information, while Savannah's family has announced a separate $1 million reward.
