Sharna Burgess Makes Her ‘DWTS’ Return After Three-Season Absence

Sharna Burgess is returning to “Dancing With the Stars” for season 35 as a professional dancer.

Burgess, a former Mirrorball Trophy winner and four-time finalist, was confirmed as part of the new cast during a Monday appearance on “Good Morning America.” She joins returning pros including season 34 winner Witney Carson, along with newcomers Rylee Arnold, Ezra Sosa and Jan Ravnik.

Burgess won season 27 with radio host Bobby Bones, a victory that remains one of the show’s most debated. She competed for 14 seasons and reached the finals four times.

Her time on the show has included several difficult moments. Burgess was dropped from season 28 alongside Artem Chigvintsev during a major behind-the-scenes change. She later returned for seasons 29 and 30, including a challenging partnership with Jesse Metcalfe.

Burgess left the series before season 31 after having her son, Zane, with her fiancé and former dance partner Brian Austin Green. She had hoped to return for season 32 but was not invited back, calling the decision a “huge shock.”

Season 35 will also feature celebrities including “The Traitors” star Maura Higgins, Savannah Bananas player Jackson Olson and “Summer House” star Ciara Miller.
