Snooki Says She's Recovering After Hysterectomy for Cervical Cancer Treatment

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi says she is recovering after undergoing a hysterectomy as part of treatment for stage 1 cervical cancer.

The Jersey Shore star shared videos on TikTok from her hospital bed, describing the surgery and the difficult first days of recovery. She said doctors removed her uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes and part of her vagina to ensure all cancerous tissue was removed. Her ovaries were left intact to help avoid early menopause.

Polizzi admitted she has been struggling with post-surgical pain but is trying to stay positive. She also revealed her surgeon repaired separated abdominal muscles, a condition that developed after her three pregnancies.

The reality TV personality recalled feeling overwhelmed with anxiety before the operation, saying she cried as she was taken into the operating room before medication helped calm her.

Polizzi said she has chosen to speak openly about her experience to encourage other women facing cervical cancer and to show that it is normal to feel afraid. She ended on an optimistic note, saying she hopes to be cancer-free and is focusing on the benefits of completing treatment, including no longer needing birth control or experiencing menstrual periods.
