Brandi Glanville Gives Fans a Look at Her Difficult Health Battle

Brandi Glanville is giving fans a rare look at what life has been like as she continues to deal with a serious and still-unresolved health problem.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared two videos on Instagram Sunday, September 6, showing the exhausting routine of IV treatments she says now takes up much of her day.

“I feel like death. I look like death,” Glanville said in one of the videos as she prepared her medications.

Glanville said she is currently undergoing an 18-hour treatment regimen and has been learning to administer some of the IV medication herself with help from a nurse.

One of the medications she mentioned was imipenem, an antibiotic typically used with cilastatin to treat serious bacterial infections. She said her nurse visits for about four hours each evening to administer another IV, while she handles an additional four-hour treatment on her own.

She then starts another IV around 4 p.m., which runs overnight.

The lengthy treatment has made it difficult for her to leave home.

“The only time I leave my house is to do my podcast,” she said.

Glanville also said the treatments have affected her appetite and weight.

“I can’t eat because the things I do decreases my food,” she explained, adding that she has become “so skinny right now.”

‘This Is My Reality Right Now’

In the caption accompanying her first video, Glanville said she had decided to show fans what her life has looked like away from the public eye.

“For the first time, I’m showing you what my life has really looked like behind closed doors,” she wrote. “The treatments. The IVs. The exhaustion. The days nobody saw.”

She added that she is still not ready to reveal everything about her condition but wanted people to understand what she has been going through.

In the second video, Glanville showed more of her treatment routine and referred to having a PICC line, a type of long-term IV access used to deliver medication.

“I never thought this would become my life,” she said. “A PICC line. Hours of IV medication. And still fighting to get whatever is in my face OUT.”

Glanville said she believes she now has answers about what has caused her health problems, but she is keeping the diagnosis private for the time being.

“I know everyone wants to know exactly what I’m dealing with. I’m not ready to share that part just yet,” she wrote. “But I am ready to start showing you what it’s taken to get here.”

Years of Searching for Answers

Glanville has spoken publicly about problems affecting her face for several years. In 2023, she said she believed a parasite may have been responsible, suggesting that the problem could have started after she ate improperly stored food while filming The Real Housewives’ Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco.

She later connected her health struggles to problems with her breast implants after a sonogram reportedly found that both implants had ruptured or were leaking.

According to Glanville, a medical professional warned her that one implant had a slow leak while the other was completely ruptured, with material found in lymph nodes under both arms.

She said in December 2024 that she had already spent around $70,000 trying to deal with the ongoing problem.

Earlier this year, Glanville said the issue had returned despite visits to numerous doctors. On her Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast, she said sunlight, parasite medication and a special diet were among the things that seemed to provide some relief.

“I’ve been to a million doctors,” she said. “And I don’t have answers.”

For now, Glanville says she is focused on continuing treatment while keeping some details of her diagnosis private.

“This is my reality right now,” she told her followers, promising that there is “more to come.”
