Disney Channel Actress Carla Jeffery Dies at 33

Carla Jeffery, known for playing cheerleader Bree in Disney Channel’s Zombies film series, died Sept. 1 at age 33. Her cause of death was not disclosed.

Jeffery’s management company, Alexanders Talent, announced her death on Instagram and remembered her as a talented actress with an infectious smile and vibrant personality. The agency also asked for privacy for her family and loved ones.

Jeffery played Bree, the bubbly best friend of Addison, in Zombies, Zombies 2 and Zombies 3. She also returned to voice the character in Zombies: The Re-Animated Series.

Before joining the Zombies franchise, Jeffery appeared in television shows including Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Uncle Buck and American Vandal. She also played Keysha Black in 10 episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm and appeared as Janila on the police drama Southland.

Born in Houston, Jeffery was the twin sister of actor Carlon Jeffery, who starred in Disney Channel’s A.N.T. Farm. She began acting at age 12, making her film debut in Phat Girlz, starring Mo’Nique.

Jeffery’s management company said she would be remembered for her talent, laughter and the joy she brought to those around her.
