Milla Jovovich Joins ‘Heated Rivalry’ Season 2 Cast

Milla Jovovich has joined the cast of Heated Rivalry Season 2, taking on the role of Dr. Galina Molchalina, a Russian therapist who treats Ilya Rozanov for depression and anxiety.

Jovovich, known for Resident Evil and The Fifth Element, is the biggest new name announced for the second season of the romance drama.

The series has also added Kevin Zegers and Paul Gross. Zegers will play Coach Wiebe, Ilya’s coach with the Ottawa Centaurs, while Gross will portray NHL Commissioner Roger Crowell, a major antagonist in Rachel Reid’s Game Changers book series.

Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie will return as Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov. Other returning cast members include François Arnaud, Robbie G.K., Sophie Nélisse, Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova, Christina Chang, Dylan Walsh, Callan Potter, Benjamin Roy and Kamilla Kowal.

New cast members include Justice Smith, Charlie Gillespie, Daniel Diemer, Shaheen Jafargholi, Emily Hampshire, Edvin Ryding, Robert Naylor, Priyanka and Sabrina Jalees.

Season 2 will primarily adapt Reid’s The Long Game and Role Model. The story will follow Shane and Ilya as they deal with the challenges of their secret relationship, while Ilya struggles with depression. A second romance will develop between troubled hockey player Troy Barrett and Harris Drover, the Centaurs’ social media manager.

The season is also expected to draw from Tough Guy, another book in Reid’s Game Changers series.

Heated Rivalry Season 2 is currently filming in Canada and is scheduled to premiere in spring 2027. The series will stream on Crave in Canada and HBO Max in the U.S. and other territories.
