Kai Trump Opens Up About Struggling With College Move

Kai Trump, the 18-year-old daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, has opened up about the emotional challenges of starting college at the University of Miami.

In a YouTube vlog documenting her final days in Jupiter, Florida, Kai became tearful while preparing to leave her family and friends. She said she is not usually emotional and rarely cries, but found saying goodbye particularly difficult.

“I’m struggling right now,” Kai said, adding that leaving her loved ones was difficult even as she looked forward to the next chapter of her life.

The aspiring professional golfer chose not to record her final goodbyes, saying she wanted to be fully present with her family. She later shared footage of moving into her new apartment, with her mother helping her prepare for college.

Vanessa Trump, 48, joked about having one child leave home while four others remain. She shares Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer and Chloe with Donald Trump Jr., whom she divorced in 2018.

Kai has also publicly supported her mother, who revealed in May that she is battling breast cancer. She described Vanessa as “the strongest person” she knows.

Despite the emotional transition, Kai said she is excited to begin this new chapter at the University of Miami, located about 90 minutes from her family.
