Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Cheer on Daughter North at Her First Headlining Concert

North West had both of her famous parents in the audience as she took a major step in her young music career.

On Saturday, Sept. 5, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West attended their 13-year-old daughter’s first solo headlining concert at The Vic Theatre in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.

The one-night show came shortly after North’s planned Kimokawaii Tour with rapper Molly Santana was canceled in August.

Videos from the concert showed Kardashian and West watching from different parts of the theater. West, who grew up in Chicago, was seen nodding along to the music and recording parts of the performance on his phone. Kardashian cheered for her daughter and also filmed North from her section.

Kardashian later shared clips from the night on her Instagram Stories, including footage of the crowd cheering and North performing onstage.

Another video shared by a concert attendee showed West leaving the venue with bodyguards after the show as fans gathered outside.

Kardashian and West finalized their divorce in November 2022 after she filed in February 2021. The former couple share four children: North, 10-year-old Saint, 8-year-old Chicago and 7-year-old Psalm.

North’s concert came during a busy weekend for both of her parents in Chicago.

Earlier Saturday, Kardashian visited her SKIMS flagship store on the city’s Gold Coast and shared photos from the visit on Instagram.

West, meanwhile, performed at Chicago’s Soldier Field on Thursday, Sept. 3, and Friday, Sept. 4. His shows featured several special guests, including Lupe Fiasco, Common, Rick Ross and Travis Scott.

North has already been building her own presence in music. She made her music festival debut at Rolling Loud in Orlando, Florida, on May 9, shortly after releasing her EP N0rth4evr.

She also performed with her father at his concert at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium in April. The father-daughter duo performed their 2024 collaboration, “Talking,” as well as “Piercing on My Hand.”

With her first headlining show now under her belt, North is continuing to carve out her own path in music—with plenty of support from both of her parents.
