Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun Enjoy Venice Getaway as Their Romance Grows

VENICE — Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun are making the most of their time together in Venice, nearly a year after their relationship was first reported.

The actress, 28, and music executive, 45, were spotted together in Venice shortly after the 83rd Venice International Film Festival began on Sept. 3. The couple enjoyed a boat ride through the city’s famous canals and were also seen taking a walk through Venice as the festival got underway.

Although Sweeney does not have a film premiering at this year’s festival, she appears to be enjoying the Italian getaway with Braun.

The couple’s relationship was first reported by PEOPLE in September 2025. At the time, a source said they were “casually” seeing each other after reportedly connecting at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in Venice in June 2025.

By December, however, their relationship appeared to have become much more serious.

“Scooter and Sydney are going strong and things between them are great,” a source told PEOPLE. “They’re in a committed relationship and things are serious.”

From private romance to public appearances

Sweeney and Braun have gradually become more open about their relationship. In April, Braun accompanied Sweeney to the premiere of the third season of Euphoria, marking one of their more public appearances together.

The pair have also shared glimpses of their life together throughout the summer. They traveled to Australia in July and later appeared in photos from what seemed to be a group summer camp trip with friends in August.

Braun has also spoken warmly about Sweeney. During a May appearance on Suzy Weiss’ Second Thought podcast, he described the actress as “kind and generous and smart and real and down to earth.”

Sweeney returned the affection when Braun celebrated his 45th birthday on June 18. In an Instagram Story featuring a photo of herself kissing him on the cheek, she wrote, “Happiest of birthdays to the man with the biggest heart I know❤️.”

She shared another photo that day with a heartfelt message: “..thank you for all the living room dances and making me smile again. A good man is rare. A man like you is once in a lifetime.”

Both have moved on from previous relationships

Braun was previously married to Yael Cohen. The couple married in 2014, separated in 2021 and finalized their divorce in 2022. They share three children.

Sweeney, meanwhile, ended her engagement to businessman Jonathan Davino in March 2025 after nearly seven years together.

Since then, her career has remained busy. She most recently appeared in The Housemaid, which became a hit last winter. Following the conclusion of Euphoria earlier this year, Sweeney is set to return in The Housemaid’s Secret, scheduled for release in December 2027. She is also attached to Netflix’s live-action adaptation of the Gundam franchise.

For now, Sweeney and Braun are enjoying some time together in one of the world’s most romantic cities as the Venice Film Festival continues through Sept. 12.

Their appearance in Venice offers another glimpse into a relationship that began quietly but has become increasingly public over the past year.
