Becca Tobin Fears Being Left Out of ‘Glee’ Reboot: ‘This Gives Me Diarrhea’

Actress Becca Tobin has opened up about her anxiety over the upcoming Glee reboot, admitting she fears being left out of the revival despite her excitement for the project.

Speaking on Thursday’s episode of the LadyGang podcast, Tobin candidly described the uncertainty surrounding her potential return. “This gives me diarrhea,” she said, explaining that she was not part of the original Season 1 cast and joined the Fox musical comedy in its fourth season.

“There’s no guarantee for anyone, anything, anywhere ever, right?” she added, describing the uncomfortable wait to see whether creator Ryan Murphy would invite her back.

The revival was announced on Thursday through Glee’s official social media channels, confirming the show’s return 11 years after its original run ended. The new project is expected to stream on Disney+ and Hulu, though a release date has not yet been announced.

Tobin, who played Kitty Wilde from Seasons 4 through 6, said she has not received a call about the reboot. She also acknowledged the challenges of bringing together returning original cast members and new faces, adding that she believes several original stars are likely to return.

According to Variety, Lea Michele is set to reprise her role as Rachel Berry. Tobin said she understood the practical difficulties of planning the revival but admitted that the prospect of being excluded still stings.

“I’m thrilled for my friends. I am so happy. Then I’m also really anxious and bummed out to be in this position,” she said, emphasizing that she does not feel entitled to a place in the reboot.

The actress also reflected on the struggles some of her former castmates have faced in finding substantial work since Glee ended, saying she has felt frustrated on their behalf after seeing how much they invested in the series.

While Tobin recognizes that Kitty Wilde may not be an obvious priority for the revival’s writers, her candid comments reveal the complicated mix of excitement, insecurity and professional uncertainty surrounding a return to a beloved television franchise.
