Love Island USA's Alannah Keyser Apologizes After Removal From Show

"Love Island USA" contestant Alannah Keyser has spoken out after being removed from the Peacock dating series following the resurfacing of an old video and social media posts that sparked backlash online.

In a TikTok video, Keyser said the clip, recorded about six years ago, showed language she no longer uses. She apologized to those offended, saying the word is "no longer in my vocabulary."

Keyser also argued that the show's editing did not fully reflect her experience in the villa. She said conversations and connections she had with several contestants, including contestants of color during Casa Amor, were not shown, contributing to public perception. She ended her statement by saying she has "always been" someone who tries to spread positivity and help others.

Peacock confirmed that Keyser would no longer appear on the show after last Thursday's episode.

Her removal followed the circulation of a video showing her singing along to Roddy Ricch's "The Box" and using the N-word, as well as an alleged past Instagram comment containing a racial slur.

According to production sources cited by TMZ, the video and social media posts were not publicly available during the casting and vetting process and only surfaced after Keyser had joined the show.

The controversy quickly overshadowed Keyser's time on the series, making her exit one of the season's most sudden departures. She is the second contestant connected to a racial slur controversy this season, following Vasana Montgomery, who was removed before appearing on camera.
