63-Year-Old Man Arrested After Crashing Through Gates of Beyoncé and Jay-Z's Estate

A 63-year-old man was arrested after driving through the front gates of Beyoncé and Jay-Z's East Hampton home this week, causing significant damage to the property.

Police said the man, who is from the Bronx, drove at high speed up the driveway and crashed through the closed security gates. He was arrested on charges including criminal trespass and criminal mischief before being taken to Stony Brook Hospital after complaining of pain. His vehicle was impounded.

Investigators said there is no evidence that the man was targeting the celebrity couple. According to East Hampton Detective Sgt. Jennifer Dunn, the man appeared confused, had no criminal history, and did not mention Beyoncé, Jay-Z, or make any threats.

Police said the man had stopped at another nearby home before the crash, asking for a woman who did not live there. The homeowner also told officers that he seemed confused.

The investigation remains ongoing, but authorities said no weapons, notes, or other evidence suggesting a planned attack have been found.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z bought the seven-bedroom East Hampton estate for $26 million in 2017.
