After her announcement, Page Six reported that an unnamed source claimed Fineman got along well with some cast members but not everyone. The source alleged that some people felt she expected others to adjust to her schedule and preferences. However, another source close to the show strongly denied those claims, saying there was "no truth" to them.
In her farewell message, Fineman reflected on the emotional highs and lows of working on SNL, joking about how seriously cast members take sketches that later seem unimportant.
Several current and former cast members, including Marcello Hernandez, Ben Marshall, and Ego Nwodim, congratulated her and wished her well.
According to earlier Page Six reports, Fineman decided to leave after being offered a role in David E. Kelley's upcoming Netflix series Myron Bolitar. Sources said the opportunity came together quickly and that, after seven seasons and a changing cast, she felt it was the right time to move on.
