Ariana Grande Exits American Horror Story Season 13 Due to Tour Commitments

Ariana Grande will no longer appear in American Horror Story season 13 after exiting the production because of scheduling conflicts with her sold-out Eternal Sunshine tour.

The singer, who was announced as a newcomer to the hit FX series last October, did not film any scenes before leaving the project. Grande previously worked with American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy on Scream Queens and has also collaborated with AHS star Evan Peters.

Grande's Eternal Sunshine tour, which began on June 6 in Oakland, California, runs through Sept. 1 with stops across North America and London. She recently rescheduled several concerts, citing production-related challenges and emphasizing that the changes were made to ensure the show's safety and quality.

Despite Grande's departure, season 13 is shaping up to be one of the franchise's biggest installments. Kathy Bates has teased an "all-star season," featuring returning fan favorites Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, Frances Conroy, and Kathy Bates. Cult filmmaker John Waters has also confirmed he has joined the cast in a mystery role.

The new season marks the return of the beloved witches from Coven, reconnecting one of the series' most popular storylines with the broader American Horror Story universe.

American Horror Story: 13 premieres on Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. ET on FX and will also stream on Hulu.
