Elisha Cuthbert Says The Girl Next Door Limo Scene Was Not Filmed as It Appeared

Elisha Cuthbert has revealed that one of The Girl Next Door's most memorable intimate scenes was created using movie magic. Speaking on Teen Beat, the actress said the limousine sequence with co-star Emile Hirsch was filmed separately, with each actor performing alone in confined setups rather than together.

Cuthbert, who was 20 when she played Danielle in the 2004 comedy, also reflected that she would have felt more confident taking on the role at 43 than she did at the time. She said the character's glamorous image relied heavily on hair, makeup, and other filmmaking techniques, adding that she viewed the performance as a major acting challenge.

After a lengthy break from acting, Cuthbert has returned to screens with the Prime Video series Every Year After.
