Jared Leto denies sexual assault allegations after BBC documentary

Actor and musician Jared Leto has denied allegations of sexual misconduct made in the BBC documentary Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret.

In a statement to Page Six, Leto said: "I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life." He described the allegations as "absolutely and categorically false."

The documentary features several women, identified by pseudonyms, who accuse Leto of inappropriate sexual behaviour dating back to the early 2000s. Four women allege incidents involving sexual assault, grooming or other misconduct when they were teenagers. Other women claim they received sexually explicit phone calls from him.

The programme also includes claims from former associates of Leto's band, who allege there were concerns about the ages of some girls invited backstage or to recording sessions.

The allegations follow a 2025 Air Mail investigation in which nine women accused Leto of sexual impropriety. He denied those claims at the time. Earlier reports from the 2000s also alleged he pursued teenage models, claims that were previously reported but not proven.

The allegations in the BBC documentary have not been proven in court, and Leto continues to deny any wrongdoing.
