Jennifer Connelly says fans often mistake her for Demi Moore

Jennifer Connelly has revealed that strangers frequently mistake her for fellow Hollywood actor Demi Moore.

Speaking at Entertainment Weekly’s 2026 San Diego Comic-Con Studio, Connelly recalled being stopped by airport security, where someone insisted she was Moore despite her repeated denials.

“They were like, ‘Oh my God, you’re Demi Moore,’” Connelly said. “I was like, ‘I’m not.’ They were like, ‘You are.’ I said, ‘No. I’m really not. I have my passport to show you.’”

Connelly also said people often wrongly believe she appeared in films she was never part of. She remembered one person praising her performance in “that movie with Brad Pitt,” even though she has never starred alongside the actor.

Connelly and Moore both began acting as teenagers in the 1980s and built successful careers through the 1990s and 2000s. They have each appeared opposite Tom Cruise in different films but have never worked together.

Connelly currently stars with Joel Edgerton in Apple TV+ series Dark Matter, based on Blake Crouch’s novel. The science-fiction drama premiered in May 2024 and returns for its second season on 28 August.
