Jennifer Garner Reflects on Decades-Long Friendship With Timothy Olyphant

Jennifer Garner says working with Timothy Olyphant on Peacock’s The Five Star Weekend was easy because they have known each other for decades.

Garner told PEOPLE that she first worked with Olyphant on an independent film in the 1990s and later reunited with him in Catch and Release (2007) and Mother’s Day (2016). She said their long friendship and mutual trust made filming their TV romance enjoyable.

Garner also praised her The Five Star Weekend castmates, including Regina Hall, Chloë Sevigny, Gemma Chan, and D’Arcy Carden. She said she enjoyed seeing different sides of them, describing Hall as smart and business-minded, Sevigny as surprisingly maternal, Chan as an Oxford-trained lawyer and great dancer, and Carden as an emotional, caring teammate.
