While performing during her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace on Friday, July 17, the Grammy-winning singer joked that she could finally say what she wanted because she no longer worked at the network.
“I would get fired by NBC, but I don’t work there anymore,” Clarkson quipped, before poking fun at mandatory HR meetings. She joked, “No more HR meetings!” but clarified she actually took the sessions seriously, often asking questions that made her colleagues reluctant to attend with her.
Clarkson announced in February 2026 that The Kelly Clarkson Show would end after seven seasons and more than 1,220 episodes. She said the decision was driven by a desire to spend more time with her children, River and Remington, following the 2025 death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
The final episodes of the Emmy-winning daytime talk show are set to air in fall 2026.
