Taylor Frankie Paul Defends Parenting Amid Ongoing Custody Battle

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul has addressed her ongoing custody disputes with exes Dakota Mortensen and Tate Paul, saying she is not "mother of the year" but is determined to defend herself against what she calls false narratives.

In a July 18 "Get Ready With Me" vlog, Taylor said many reports surrounding her legal troubles are inaccurate and stressed that the issues will be resolved in court rather than online. She also denied allegations that she forced her daughter to change her younger son's diapers, saying her daughter only helped voluntarily.

Taylor acknowledged making mistakes but said she has made progress in court, including gaining more time with her 2-year-old son, Ever. She added that she recently completed part of a sobriety test as she works toward restoring unsupervised visitation with her older children.

Her comments come after Utah's Division of Child and Family Services petitioned a juvenile court to place her three children under protective supervision, alleging they are "abused, neglected or dependent." Taylor's legal team welcomed the increased court oversight, while attorneys for Mortensen and Tate Paul argued the petition reflects serious concerns that should not be minimized.

The reality star described the custody battle as the most difficult experience of her life and said she intends to continue sharing her journey publicly while taking responsibility for her past mistakes.
