While speaking onstage Saturday, the Grammy-winning singer joked that she may have caught the lettuce-linked intestinal illness cyclossporiasis before describing a miserable night after the concert. Comparing the experience to the infamous food poisoning scene in Bridesmaids, Clarkson quipped that she had never been happier to be alone in her hotel room and even praised the venue's heated toilets.
Despite the health scare, Clarkson kept the mood light with self-deprecating humor, telling fans she would "find another weird" partner someday.
The singer resumed her Las Vegas residency on July 17, with performances scheduled through Aug. 15. The same day, she released her new single, "I'd Be Lyin'," describing it as a sarcastic anthem about being misunderstood and refusing to tell people what they want to hear. Clarkson said the track blends Prince-inspired influences with her signature pop-rock empowerment sound.
