In a social media post, Richard described Lauren as a talented, kind, and humble person who began performing professionally at the age of 12. He said her music career made their family incredibly proud.
Richard also revealed that Lauren suffered a severe reaction to a prescribed medication several months before her death. He said the family supported her throughout her illness and expressed disappointment with the medical care she received from NHS services. He added that the family has no suspicions about the circumstances of her death.
Lauren died on May 29, and the Kent and Medway Coroner Service in England has opened an investigation, which is expected to continue until October 30.
Her former G.R.L. bandmates announced her passing in a heartfelt statement, saying they were heartbroken and would always remember her for her kindness and spirit.
Lauren was a member of G.R.L. from 2013 to 2015 and also appeared on hits including “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO and “Wild Wild Love” by Pitbull. In recent years, she released solo songs such as “Reality” and “Hurricane” and continued collaborating with former bandmates.
She is survived by her daughter, family, and a lasting musical legacy.
