Zendaya Earns Emmy Nomination for Final Season of Euphoria

Zendaya has received an Emmy nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Rue Bennett in the third and final season of Euphoria.

Although the season received mixed reviews, critics praised Zendaya’s performance, especially in the emotional finale, where Rue dies after accidentally taking fentanyl-laced pills.

Zendaya previously won two Emmy Awards for playing Rue in the first two seasons. If she wins again, she will have earned an Emmy for every season of the show.

After filming ended, Zendaya thanked the cast and crew, saying she was grateful to everyone who had been part of the series and became emotional as she said goodbye.

Creator Sam Levinson said the final season brings Rue’s story of addiction to a natural ending. He also shared that the season honors actor Angus Cloud, who died in 2023 from a drug overdose.

The 2026 Emmy Awards will be held on September 14 and will air on NBC and Peacock.
