Maya Hawke Buys Home Near Uma Thurman While Filming New Series

Maya Hawke says she has bought a home in upstate New York, just a few blocks from her mother, actress Uma Thurman. The actress and singer shared the news months after marrying musician Christian Lee Hutson in a surprise Valentine's Day wedding in New York City.

Hawke said she is happy to settle down while filming The God of the Woods, a Netflix adaptation of Liz Moore's bestselling novel. The series is being filmed in the area where she grew up, making the experience especially meaningful.

In the show, Hawke plays Judy Luptack, the first female investigator in the state's Bureau of Criminal Investigation, who looks into the disappearance of a 13-year-old girl from a summer camp in the Adirondacks. Kerry Condon co-stars as the missing girl's mother.

The God of the Woods is currently filming in New York's Hudson River Valley and Adirondack Mountains. The series, produced by Sony Pictures Television, does not yet have a release date.
