Millie Bobby Brown Recalls Missing Out on Logan Role Opposite Hugh Jackman

Millie Bobby Brown has revealed that one of her most disappointing auditions as a child was a screen test with Hugh Jackman for Logan.

Speaking on Entertainment Weekly’s video series Lie vs. Lie, the 22-year-old actress said she auditioned for one of the “Wolverine movies” when she was 11 or 12 years old. She later confirmed it was for the 2017 film Logan.

Brown said she left the audition feeling “broken” because she believed another actor had performed better.

Her Enola Holmes 3 co-star Louis Partridge correctly guessed that she was talking about Logan, noting that Brown would have been the right age to play X-23. Brown then confirmed the story was true, joking that she had described it as “the Wolverine movies” to make the game more challenging.

The role of X-23 ultimately went to Dafne Keen, who later reprised the character in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Although Brown did not join Marvel, she went on to star as Eleven in Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things, which made her an international star.

Brown currently stars in Enola Holmes 3, now streaming on Netflix.
