Shia LaBeouf Says Father Was Removed From Film Sets After Allegedly Harassing Co-Stars

Shia LaBeouf said his father was removed from multiple film sets after allegedly making unwanted advances toward actresses while accompanying him during his early acting career.

Speaking at the 2026 Fanboy Expo in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Saturday, LaBeouf recalled an incident involving Sigourney Weaver during the filming of the 2003 movie Holes.

"He hit on Sigourney Weaver one time," LaBeouf said, according to PEOPLE, alleging that Weaver slapped his father on the set of the film.

LaBeouf also claimed his father behaved inappropriately toward actress Lucy Liu while he was filming Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, also released in 2003.

"My dad was fresh out of prison," LaBeouf said. "So we were on this set, and here’s all these pretty girls walking around. Bad news."

According to LaBeouf, Liu "couldn’t stand" his father because he was "always whistling at her." He added that the actress would avoid passing near his trailer.

"But he wasn’t going nowhere, he’s my dad," LaBeouf said. "So we were just hanging out all the time."

Jeffrey Craig LaBeouf, a Vietnam veteran and former professional clown, was convicted of attempted rape in 1981 and served about two years in prison before his release in 1983, according to public records cited by The U.S. Sun.

Shia LaBeouf has previously spoken about his complicated relationship with his father, who inspired elements of the 2019 film Honey Boy. Although their relationship was strained for years, PEOPLE reported earlier this year that the actor moved to New Orleans in December partly to spend more time with him.

LaBeouf's mother, Shayna Saide, who divorced Jeffrey LaBeouf when Shia was 3 years old, died of heart failure in 2022.
