Suri Cruise legally changes surname to Noelle

Suri Cruise, the daughter of actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, has legally changed her surname to Noelle, according to voter registration records reviewed by Entertainment Weekly.

The 20-year-old, who is studying at Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania, is now registered to vote under the name Suri Noelle. Reports suggest the legal name change was likely completed in New York, where she grew up.

Suri first used the name Noelle, which is her mother's middle name, in her high school graduation programme in 2024. Tom Cruise has not been publicly seen with his daughter since his divorce from Holmes in 2012.

She is studying musical theatre and has been cast in Midsummer!, a student production that will also be performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Suri's decision follows similar moves by several children of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, including Vivienne, Zahara, Shiloh and Maddox, who have all dropped Pitt from their names.
