Suri Cruise to Perform in Shakespeare Adaptation at Edinburgh Fringe

Suri Cruise, the 20-year-old daughter of actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, is set to appear in Midsummer!, a modern adaptation of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The 90-minute production will be staged by Carnegie Mellon University students at Pittsburgh’s Trust Arts Education Center on July 31 and Aug. 1 before traveling to Scotland for the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, which runs from Aug. 7 to Aug. 31.

Cruise, who recently completed her sophomore year at Carnegie Mellon, is studying musical theater in the university’s School of Drama. She previously appeared in the staged reading Cosmic Microwave Background at Pittsburgh’s New Hazlett Theater in March.

After graduating from New York City’s LaGuardia High School in 2024, she began using the name Suri Noelle, adopting her mother’s middle name in place of her father’s surname.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes welcomed Suri in 2006 and divorced in 2012. Holmes has raised Suri since the split, while Tom Cruise has been publicly reported to be estranged from his daughter. Tom Cruise also has two adopted children, Isabella and Connor Cruise, from his previous marriage to Nicole Kidman.
