Tom Cruise Praises Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey After Surprise IMAX Screening

Tom Cruise has once again shown his support for other filmmakers, this time praising Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey after a surprise IMAX screening with AMC employees.

According to an employee who attended the screening, Cruise invited staff to watch the film with him after reportedly arriving too late for an earlier showing. The employee later wrote on X that Cruise was friendly, down-to-earth, and excited to talk about movies.

The employee said Cruise loved The Odyssey, clapping during the third act and repeatedly calling it “so fucking sick.” Cruise also joked with staff throughout the screening, making the experience even more memorable.

The same employee said Cruise was equally impressed by the exclusive Dune 3 prologue shown before the film and even called the movie’s producer afterward to praise it.

Cruise has become one of Hollywood’s strongest supporters of theatrical releases. Over the past year, he has promoted films from other studios, including Sinners and F1, encouraging audiences to see them in cinemas.

Meanwhile, Cruise has also begun promoting his upcoming comedy Digger, with its first trailer released this week and a teaser shown during the World Cup.
