However, fans viewed the look as a “slutty” move, with Garfield joking that people reacted as though he was trying to seduce them. When Foy asked whether he had intentionally wanted to “thirst-trap” audiences, Garfield admitted there may have been an unconscious desire to look attractive.

The conversation also touched on “aura farming,” a Gen Z term for trying to look cool. Garfield said that public appearances can often amount to aura farming because celebrities dress and present themselves in ways designed to look good.

Garfield has continued attracting attention for his appearance, particularly after growing his hair to shoulder length. He said he has received criticism about the change in his private life but has embraced the style, saying he “earned” the look after getting through its awkward stage.
